ZNS Working to Meet Mealie Meal Demand

Zambia National Service (ZNS) says the current load shedding has negatively affected production of the Eagle’s mealie meal amidst heightened consumer demand.

Speaking in an interview with Money News, ZNS Director Marketing, Colonel George Lukonde says the institution is working at interventions to ensure that it meets the mealie meal demand.

Colonel Lukonde notes that being the cheapest on the market, the commodity has created high demand, therefore a lot needs to be done to improve supply.

He however reveals that there has been improvement in the production of the brand as alternative energy sources such as diesel generators have been installed.

Colonel Lukonde has also advised contracted retailers to adhere to the terms and conditions of pricing to avoid being removed from selling Eagle’s mealie meal brand.
