OYDC Zambia Making Strides to Renovate Worn-Out Facilities – NOCZ

National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) president Alfred Foloko has revealed that the OYDC Zambia is making strides to renovate its worn facilities.

Foloko was speaking in Paris, France, during a meeting with the OYDC Zambia sponsor, Coen Teulings, Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium.

Coen was in the company of his wife, Pauline Krayenhoff, and his representative, Hans Bertels.

Foloko disclosed that the floor mat for the multipurpose hall, which was donated by the Association of National Olympic Committees in Africa (ANOCA), is almost done being installed and will soon be launched.

Foloko says the meeting with Coen Teulings was successful as the topic of discussion was centred on more collaboration and work being done at the OYDC Zambia through the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge, a youthful league that has produced many athletes who have gone as far as competing at Africa, AUSC Region 5, and the Olympic Games.

Foloko noted with gratitude that Coen Teulings pledged his continued support to the OYDC Zambia, which is a “Centre of Excellence.”

Foloko further disclosed that the NOCZ, working with Zambia Athletics (ZA), is in talks with the government through the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts to ensure that the athletic track that reached its lifespan is replaced soon.

And Association of National Olympic Committees in Africa (ANOCA) president Mustapha Berraf said the association is delighted to note that the leadership of NOCZ president Foloko continues to work well with Coen Teulings at the OYDC Zambia.

ANOCA declared OYDC Zambia a high-performance centre for the region, which saw the donation of the floor mat for the multipurpose hall.
