Mutandwa Extends Cagliari Deal

Italian Serie A side Cagliari Calcio has extended the contract Zambian striker Kingstone Mutandwa.
According to the club’s website, Mutandwa has signed a new agreement with the Club until 30 June 2028.

The former Atletico Lusaka striker was born in Chibombo on 5 January 2003. While at Atletico Lusaka, Mutandwa scored 34 goals in two seasons between 2021 and 2023.

Having arrived in Sardinia in the summer of 2023, he made his debut with the Primavera on September 2, 2023, in the home draw against Inter (1-1), immediately entering the orbit of the first team.


After a while, Mutandwa made his Serie A debut on March 3, Cagliari’s 1-0 victory in Empoli. He scored his first goal for in the Cagliari versus Fiorentina on May 23 in the top flight with a splendid shot from outside the area. This season he has so far made two appearances.


On June 11th, he also made his debut with the senior Zambian national team, in the World Cup qualifying match against Tanzania, becoming a regular member of the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifying matches.
