BUYZED HAILS PRESIDENT HICHILEMA’S COMMITMENT TO GROWING LOCAL MANUFACTURING BASE

BuyZed Campaign has hailed President Hakainde Hichilema’s commitment to growing the local manufacturing base.

Organization Founder Evans Ngoma tells Money FM News that this will stimulate economic growth, create jobs and enhance national pride.

Mr. Ngoma has since urged all Zambians to support this approach because it has potential to reduce the country’s reliance on imports, and promote local production.

During his State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the National Assembly on Friday 13th September, 2024, President Hakainde Hichilema revealed that government is promoting the production and consumption of local products to further expand the local manufacturing base.

President Hichilema further said Government is developing legislation to support local manufacturers by encouraging public institutions to procure locally produced goods and services.
