ANDD Expects The 2025 National Budget to Introduce Clear Policies Aimed at Reducing The Cost of Doing Business
Advocates for National Development and Democracy (ANDD) says it expects the 2025 National Budget to introduce clear policies aimed at reducing the cost of doing business and creating a supportive economic environment.
Organization Executive Director, Samuel Banda tells Money News that the budget should focus on policies that encourage the Bank of Zambia to lower its Policy Monetary Rate, currently at 13.5%, as this will promote entrepreneurship, boost manufacturing and agricultural production, and improve overall liquidity in the economy.
Mr. Banda notes that the current economic landscape poses significant challenges for businesses and individual economic participants, hindering their ability to thrive and contribute positively to national development.
He has emphasized the critical need for a conducive economic and business environment to foster growth, development, and stability in the country.
