Teulings Representative Arrives in Zambia
Hans Bertels, the representative of Coen Teulings, the Chairman of Merifin Capital in Belgium, has arrived in Zambia before the 13th edition of the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge grand finale.
The finale, where top deserving athletes participating in the event will be held at the OYDC Zambia on 23 November 2024, will reward them.
Bertels was welcomed in Zambia at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport by OYDC Zambia Acting Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Tembo.
Twelve athletes from various sports codes will be rewarded this weekend for their exceptional participation in the 2024 Teulings Youth Sports Challenge, sponsored by Coen Teulings and held at the OYDC Zambia since 2011.
Athletes from boxing, basketball, hockey, rugby, judo, taekwondo, football, netball, beach volleyball, baseball5, and teqball, along with media personnel covering the league games, will be rewarded.
During the grand finale, expected to be graced by the Minister of Youth, Sport, and Arts Hon. Elvis Nkandu MP, the OYDC Zambia will also re-launch the multipurpose hall. The hall was recently renovated with a new floor mat donated by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).
Other delegates expected to witness this event at the OYDC Zambia include representatives from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5, Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), National Sports Federations, National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ), and National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) among others.
Over 500 young Zambian athletes are expected to be present for the awards and to witness the event.
