MMA Zambia Secures Funding for World Championship

Mixed Martial Arts Zambia (MMA Zambia) has disclosed that it successfully secured funding to send three talented athletes for the upcoming Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) World Championship in Uzbekistan slatted for November 3rd to 10th.

The three athletes, Mutinta Mweene, Miracle Chipito, and Gilbert Ndlovu, will compete in the bantamweight, flyweight, and middleweight divisions, respectively.

Ndlovu is currently reigning gold medalists that he won at the Africa Championship, while Chipito and Mweene won silver and bronze medals, respectively, at the African Championships in Angola.

Henry Shoko, an official in training, and Malachy McAllister, Zambia’s lead official and an International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF)-certified official, will join the three athletes.

Through the support of the National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ), Benjamin Bush, President of MMA Zambia, will also join the traveling team as coach, team manager, and a vital leader for the athletes.

MMA Zambia has thanked NSCZ, 1XBet, and BigTree for the financial support that has made it possible for the athletes and officials to travel for the competition.
